Details:

1. COLLECT - Instead of throwing razors away, collect them at home

3. SEND - They will send you a free post envelope in 3 weeks to put your blades in and send by Royal Mail. It's completely free!

Medicine blister packs

Scheme: Medicine blister packs
Cost: Free
Details: Medicine blister packs (for pills / tablets) combine hard plastic and foil film, a combination many council recycling schemes cannot cope with. The Medicine Packet Recycling Programme accepts used (empty) blister packs and recycles them via specialist processors. Simply drop off your blister packs at any participating Superdrug store (they usually have a cardboard collection box near the prescriptions counter).

Re-usable food containers and bottle

Scheme: Re-usable food containers and bottle
Cost: Free
Details: Food storage containers (like Sistema, Lock-n-Lock or Tupperware etc) and re-usable plastic drinking bottles. When these reach end-of-use, just collect them together, pop in a cardboard box, login to your Terracycle account and download a free postage label. Drop off at a UPS collection point or arrange free collection. Alternatively, just drop them off at one of a growing network of collection points.

Dog and cat food pouches, any brand

Scheme: Pet food pouches
Cost: Free
Details: A trial at 20 Pets@Home stores, and four Vets4Pets practices, accept any flexible pet food pouches for recycling. Just rinse them and drop them off in store. They collect the food pouches from the trial stores and send them to a UK recycling centre that has the ability to process flexible plastic. The pouches will go through a specially designed process which heats the plastic, turning it back into an oil and separates the aluminium which will be turned back into new products.

Connection to the site is via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols to protect your data. Passwords are not stored in plain text, and cannot be recovered. In the event of loss we can generate a new random password for you.
2. The only personal information we store is your username, password, and outer postcode. If we collect demographic information (age, gender etc), this is optional and done only at signup and your responses are not stored or connected to your user data; they are used purely for statistical analysis. Contact details are never made available through the site.
3. LitterPick.UK uses web server log files. These files contain internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser agent information, date/time stamp and requested page addresses. This data is used to analyze trends, administer the site and diagnose faults. IP addresses and other logged information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. We will never sell, share or disclose any information to third parties unless required by law to do so.
4. This is a non-profit project. Any views or opinions expressed explicitly or implicitly on this site are personal and belong to the author named and do not represent those of people, institutions or organisations that the owner may be associated with in a personal or professional capacity.
